What Will It Feel Like to Walk In?

As September draws to a close, the summer holidays are over, the heatwave is fading and the first signs of autumn are beginning to appear. I find myself reflecting on the amazing progress being made on site and imagining this time next year, when the build will be reaching its final stages and we will be anticipating moving in. Perhaps we will already have opened our doors?

Imagine walking into The Hub, receiving a warm welcome and enjoying a coffee or tea and a cake in the new café. Have you come to a baby and toddler group and are looking forward to some time with other parents/carers? Maybe you have booked an exercise class, or your child is attending a music activity, or you are simply meeting a neighbour to catch up. Perhaps you have booked some workspace and are looking forward to some quiet productive time at your desk amongst like-minded people. 

What a difference it will make to finally have this community space. 

Since my last blog

We can now see cladding appearing around the building – soon it will be harder to see what progress is being made. But do not worry we will continue to post videos and pictures on all our social media so you will still be able to follow how the build is progressing.

What next?

Soon site activity will be behind closed doors as the cladding is completed. Windows and doors will be fitted and the building will become weather tight. Inside the rooms will now begin to take shape. We will continue to take photos and videos and post them here and on our social media so you can track progress.
