Help Shape the Future of Kingsgrove’s New Community Hub
Kingsgrove Community Hub is seeking an enthusiastic, organised and community-minded Hub Manager to help establish and lead our new community facility in Wantage.
This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in creating a welcoming, vibrant, and sustainable community space that will serve Kingsgrove residents and the wider Wantage area for years to come.
Working closely with the Board of Trustees, volunteers, local organisations, and community partners, you will oversee the day-to-day operation of the Hub while helping to grow its reach, impact, and long-term sustainability.
About the Role
As Hub Manager, you will:
- Lead the day-to-day operation of the Hub
- Support community groups, hirers, and visitors
- Develop strong relationships with local stakeholders and partners
- Coordinate volunteers and support future staff as the Hub grows
- Promote the Hub and maximise community engagement
- Support fundraising and grant application activity
- Ensure high standards of health, safety, and operational compliance
- Help shape the long-term development and success of the Hub
Key Information
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum (pro rata) plus pension scheme.
Hours: Initially 15 hours per week, increasing to approximately 20-25 hours per week as the Hub develops and operational requirements increase.
Location: Kingsgrove Community Hub, Wantage
Working Pattern: Working hours can be arranged flexibly to meet operational needs, however applicants should expect their hours to be spread across multiple days during the week. Evening and occasional weekend working will be required to support community activities, events, and meetings.
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience in facilities management, community development, venue management, hospitality, charity operations, or a related field
- Is a confident communicator and relationship builder
- Has strong organisational and problem-solving skills
- Can work independently and manage competing priorities
- Is passionate about community engagement and creating positive social impact
- Is comfortable working with volunteers, community groups, and partner organisations
